Skógafoss, Iceland. Perhaps the most photographed waterfall in the country. It was crowded. Luckily not many people get up for sunrise. We had good light this morning - One of two days with semi-clear skies in the morning.
Seljalandsfoss, Iceland. A difficult location to shoot in due to unrelenting spray from the falls and a good sized crowd despite the chilly weather. Quite beautiful though!
The stunning Jökulsárlón Beach on Iceland's South shore. I've wanted to visit this location since Art Wolfe shared a story there in 2006. It took me 11 years, but I finally made. It was well worth the wait!
Taken on the streets of Chandni Chowk. An amazingly busy market in the heart of Old Delhi, India.
Another shot from the Amer Fort in Jaipur. This young lady was kind enough to model for me.
I finally made a trip to India. I had held off on traveling there due to the time commitment simply getting there. But this past week, I finally pulled the trigger, traveling along the "golden triangle" - Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. The above image was taken in the Amer Fort outside of the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan. Jaipur was, by far, my favorite of the three locations.
Venus and the Milky Way rising over Alstrom Point, Utah.
I am pleased to announce the redesign of BenjaminParkerPhotography.com! This it the most interactive and user-friendly version of the site to date. Utilizing hybrid hosting from both Squarespace 6 and 500px, I am now able to quickly upload, organize, and sell prints. For this reason alone, I am extremely excited about this launch. But wait, there's more...
With this redesign, I have added the option to purchase images directly from my Portfolio page. Simply click on the image and at the bottom of the page you will see the "Buy Print or Canvas" link. This will take you to my 500px marketplace, where you can specify the print size, mounting, and framing options with a real-time preview of the finished product. Once your order is placed, it will be printed and drop-shipped directly to your door. I believe you will be very pleased with this super convenient method of purchasing high-quality prints. During this weekend only, there is a 25% off Valentine's Day sale. A perfect gift for that special Valentine in your life!
Digging through older shots while attempting a re-build of the website. This was taken in Mesquite Dunes at Death Valley National Park. My first outing with the 5D Mark III.
Taken from the summit of Eureka Dunes (~700 ft up from the basin) in Death Valley National Park, California.
I just updated this website with 44 new images within all categories. You can visit the Current gallery for an overview of these new images, or visit the individual galleries for a more comprehensive experience. I truly hope you enjoy the new work. Exciting plans are being crafted for the future of this page (and my photographic goals in general) that I hope to share soon.
The below image was from Venice. A gondolier, while waiting for potential customers, had removed his hat for whatever reason. This setting provided a perfect foreground for the below gondolier paddling down a canal. I'm sure the hat's owner was puzzled by my desire to shoot 20 pictures of his hat. I'd say it was worth it.
